About Saudi Countdown

What does the website offer?

The website brings together dates of interest in Saudi Arabia, including religious and national occasions, salaries and support payments, education dates, seasons, holidays and other important events.

How are dates determined?

The method depends on the occasion. Some dates are fixed in the Gregorian calendar, some follow the Hijri calendar, and others depend on schedules or announcements issued by the relevant authorities.

The website uses rules appropriate to each type of date and updates dates when official information becomes available or an exception affects the usual schedule.

Sources and accuracy

We aim to use official sources and reliable references wherever possible, and include references for occasions and dates that require supporting information.

We also review and update the information when new details or official changes affect a published date.

The Hijri calendar

For Hijri occasions, the website uses its calendar system to convert Hijri dates to Gregorian dates. Dates may be updated if an officially confirmed date differs from the calculated date.

Is this an official website?

No. Saudi Countdown is an independent information website and does not represent any government or official authority in Saudi Arabia.

When taking official action or relying on a date for a transaction or commitment, always consult the relevant authority or official source.

Our purpose

Our purpose is to provide a convenient place to find the time remaining until important dates and events in Saudi Arabia, with clear, organized information supported by sources where available.
